19 th Century French Sideboard

Circa 1860 this beautiful counter / sideboard was from a shop in the south of France. It was used as a counter with the shopkeeper standing the side with the openings.
The finish is produced by scraping layers of paint off to reveal these older / original colours underneath.
It has had some restoration along the base and is generally very sturdy with a tiny amount of re-treated woodworm.
