19 th Century Painted French Dresser
This beautiful dresser originated from Normandy, France.
Not only does it have its original paint, which has naturally rubbed back to reveal the many layers of reds and whites, but it also has its original glass - showing those lovely waves produced by the rolling glass production method of that age.
The sliding doors have less paint than the rest of the dresser - really making the dresser contrast and frame the doors.
We are very pleased with this find.
The dresser has been split in two at some stage to aid with transport and access.
As with many of our pieces the dresser has been well loved and used and there are a few bumps and a little restoration. The doors slide easily.
