19th Century Danish Box Bench

This is the first time we have had anything from Denmark. This antique pine settle is very classically Scandinavian in style.
Refreshingly it has not been re painted and the pine has a good / interesting natural patina and colour.
Quite simple in design and construction with a few interesting details, such as inside the curve of the back.
The seat lifts up for storage and the front slides out, these were the original sofa beds.
Could be a strong piece in a light hallway.
It would be fairly straight forward to upholster the back rest and i could provide a quote for this if interested.
