Antique French Grape Harvesting Baskets

These vintage metal containers would have been worn on the back of the vineyard workers as they picked grapes, throwing them over their shoulders.

Also known as grape hods these date from around 1900.  Some are complete with the original leather straps and all have original beautifully naturally distressed paint outside and some 'patina' to the inside  - please look carefully at the pictures to see the condition.

Awesome either side of a fire place full of logs or in a hall way filled with umbrellas, tennis rackets, hockey sticks and any other paraphernalia..
