This is the most beautiful table we have sourced in a while - it looks fairly knackered but is in fact extremely solid.
This table is mid 19th century and would have been used as a prep table in a large French Chateau.
Predominately made from oak with later elm repairs this table has been well used and shows all the marks of this use. Lots of cutting / chopping marks along the surface. One of the boards along the edge has been so well used that it was then turned over to be used some more - this has created an uneven surface on one side.
Please look very carefully at the pictures and note its condition. It has had some restoration and is very sturdy - lovely natural sun bleached oak.
Great as a kitchen island, hallway or statement retail table.
