Micro Cement Topped Bakers Workbench
Sold
The base of this workbench is circa 1920 and was sourced from a bakers. It actually had lots of small shelves for proving bread on.
The idea is that the top looks like a fine slab of polished concrete. What we have used is a French process called Beton Cire, where micro cement is mixed with a resin and sealed. This produces a 5 mm thick extremely hard wearing worktop.
We are really excited that that this piece of furniture on its own creates a perfect contrast between old and new, textures, colours and styles.
The wheels are cast iron and work well.
Some old re-treated woodworm.
Great as a little kitchen island, work station or waiter station in a restaurant.
86 cm h x 140 w x 87 d.
