Vintage Industrial Lathe Table

Sold

I really enjoyed putting this table together.  The cast iron base is part of a 1930s metal lathe ( see last picture ) i took the fly wheel off as it was ridiculously heavy.  This has been blackened inside with fire grate polish and the outside just given a wire wool to retain its natural patina.  We could always polish the base if requested + £ 250.

The table top has been made from some very old Dutch flour mill floor boards, 19th century.  This has loads of character and natural patina and we have finished it with a matt shellac lacquer.  Old re-treated woodworm.

The centre of the table is brushed steel, to give the impression of the base coming through the top.

All in all it is pretty heavy.
