Gustavian Bench / Settle
This beautiful antique Swedish bench is early 19th century from Northern Sweden.
The layers of paint have been dry scraped revealing the original colours and beautiful carved details.
This was originally designed to be dismantled, as is often the way with these authentic pieces. We have tightened everything up by fixing all of the joints into place. Sturdy with a few bumps and scrapes as per its age.
The hessian cover is newly done and this is ready for upholstery.
