A piece of classic 20th Century English design and manufacturing.
These vintage industrial steel and enamel lamps would have originally been mounted to machines such as metal lathes. Providing an adjustable but sturdy light source for the operator.
This has been stripped, burnished and oiled. The steel has a great natural patina and the enamel shade is in very good condition with few marks etc.
We have mounted this onto a wooden pattern block, which would originally have been used in the process of spinning metal to form bowls etc, circa 1940.
It could also be mounted straight onto a desk.
Fully re-wired with new fittings and black braided flex - PAT tested.
As it stands in the first picture 128 cm h x 17 cm across the shade.
