Drapers Table / Kitchen Island

These amazing tables were used in a wine cooperative in Gironde, Bordeaux.

It was a very large central table used for bottling and wine tasting that we have divided into two perfect antique kitchen islands.

Made from pine these were originally painted. Over the years this has naturally worn off leaving this excellent patina. 19th Century.

We have thoroughly sanded the tops and sealed them with many layers of matte varnish so the wood is protected from spills etc. There would of course be an option to replace the tops with a stone surface – a white stone surface would create a beautiful contrast. So good in a kitchen or retail situation.
