Large 19th Century Glazed Bookcase

This huge antique bibliotheque was sourced from a Convent in Brittany, France.
A stunning piece with subtle colour variations on the cupboard base, pale blues and whites.
The only way to get this out of the convent was to take it apart ! Therefore it has been totally re-built. All of the back boards are new and it has had other extensive restoration.
Basically the front face of it, including the doors etc have their original naturally crackled paint . The sides and other areas have been re-painted to match in with this. On the top piece the back inside has been repainted a matt black / graphite.
The shelves are adjustable up and down.
Lots of natural patina all over and a few bumps and scrapes - structurally very sturdy.

All the locks on the cupboards and glazed doors have new brass locks with keys.
