This unusual piece of furniture came out of a huge country house in the Midlands, where it was in the servants area - along the lines of Downton Abbey.
Originally this huge antique cupboard would have had 4 sliding doors along the front. We have taken out the middle cupboards to reveal the unusual drawers / butlers trays.
Each of these shelves has a brass plaque on the front and they either slide in and out like drawers or can be taken right out. Presumably these were then taken up to the people lucky enough to have been upstairs !
In good structural condition with plenty of natural patina to the painted wooden face and the wooden top.
93 cm h x 305 l x 56.5 d.
Each dovetailed tray measures 11.5 cm h x 64.5 w x 32 d internally.
