Early 20th Century Multi Drawer Cabinet

We sourced this wonderful cabinet from a farm in Kent where it was being used to store vegetable seed.

 

We believe that it is made from beech which was originally stained a mahogany colour.  Each drawer is dovetailed and we have re-polished all 48 brass handles.

 

It would certainly make a statement piece in a hallway or even in a retail environment.

 

Generally it is very sturdy with quite a lot of scratches to the outside as well as the original stain having faded across the top giving a very vintage patina.  As well as polishing the handles we have given the cabinet a very thorough clean and a good waxing.  As can be seen from the pictures most of the drawers have marks where old labels have been removed.
