Antique French Bakery Unit
This amazing boulangerie sideboard was found in Toulon which is just East of Marseille. The bakery building had been boarded up since 1965 and then recently sold for development. What a find !!!
Circa 1920's, constructed with an oak frame, pine drawers and thick sycamore worktop. It is a very heavy piece.
The original paint has been scrubbed. We have boarded out and painted the back side. Re-worked the drawers, and the large middle drawer now has very smart heavy duty steel runners. Some signs of historic worm which we have re-treated to be on the safe side.
The sycamore top has been given a good clean and oiled with a food safe butchers block oil.
I will be very jealous of whoever ends up owning this.
