Hand painted Italian Sideboards

These stunning sideboards are newly made by our friend in Florence.  Not only does he make and paint furniture with a chinoiserie style but he is also a mural painter and restores historic frescos.  You can see this talent in his beautifully hand painted furniture.  Not only in the detail and love he puts into the scenes, in this case birds, roses and butterflies but also into the overall 'aged' appearance of the piece of furniture.  The produced patina is excellent.


These are made from reclaimed pine which you can see in the picture showing the back.  This timber has lots of texture and lends itself very well to being painted with an aged appearance.
