Extending 1930's Italian Dinning Table

This beautiful table with is lovely lines and subtle detailing would have originated from the kitchens of a large country house, where it would have been used for preparing the meals.
We have altered the table, increasing the height with little oak feet ( notice in the pictures ) and removed the end drawers so that this table can now be used as a dinning table with height clearance for ones knees.
Unusually it is made from Oak and Pear it is very sturdy even when fully extended. There is plenty of patina and character to the wood.
The extending leafs slide under the table top, very easy to pull out and you can pull out one end keeping the surface flat.
77.5 cm h / 59 h to the knee x 91 cm d x 206 cm l - 393 cm l when extended.
Seats 8 - 16, more if everyone squeezes up a little.
