18th Century French Armoire
Sourced in the South of France this antique armoire has beautiful details and patina.
This style of cupboard is known as a knockdown cupboard as it flat packs into several pieces - all held together by 4 wooden pegs on the inside. This would be delivered by me in pieces and then assembled in situ which takes about 15 minutes.
It was quite hard to get the colour right in the pictures - I feel it looks a bit softer in real life. Please get in touch if you would like me to send you a video of the piece, which can help with a better indication of colour. It has remanence of pastel pink paint in places.
It is a very old piece of furniture and has had notable woodworm at some stage which we have thoroughly treated to be on the safe side. It has been restored to a level with new shelves etc all working as it should, a good functional piece of furniture but still retaining all of its authentic 18th century character.
