1920's French Drapers Table

This stunning antique oak drapers table was sourced from a country house near Nancy in NE France.
This table wasn't discovered in the house but across the yard in the estate workshops where it was being used as a workbench !
You can see where this change of life has coloured and added the most amazing patina to the table. There are lots of marks and scrapes including small burn pock marks where we presume some welding has been done on the table. It would be possible to sand the table back to its clean oak state but we absolutely love this history that the table is showing off. Super Authentic.
A very well made solid piece in great structural condition, which we have given a light sand really just to clean it.
We think this would look equally as happy in a Georgian hallway as well as injecting some contrast in a contemporary modernist space.
