1920's Index Card Cabinet
Sold
This rare antique bank of drawers came from a shipyard purchasing department in Liverpool - otherwise know as a kardex.
Circa 1920, possibly slightly earlier as it has quite an Edwardian feel to it with much more detailing in the mouldings for a typically more utilitarian piece.
Made predominately from oak - this has had quite a lot of restoration with a few new drawers and replacement handles for the bottom rows. It has also been given a good wax to revitalise its colour - all in all a very impressive piece.
It retains a few knocks and original patina on the brass drawers.
213 cm h x 133 w x 46.5 d. Inside of drawers 15.5 cm h x 37 d x 10.5 w, these have been lined with white card.
