19th Century Sideboard / Counter

Sold

Sourced in the South of France this late 19th century cupboard is really a double sided counter.  It would make a great kitchen island or in the centre of a living room to break up some space.  It is also very happy against a wall as a sideboard.

The body has its original paint which has been given a really stiff brush to remove any loose paint.  Note that the doors are not perfectly inline along the tops.  All working as it should.

The top has been repainted and waxed and there is a subtle ring showing through the paint where it had something cut out of it. The moulding along the base is new.

Some signs of old worm which has been retreated to be on the safe side and some very old tin patches.

Generally a good and sturdy and practical piece.
