19th Century Shop Counter

We love the unusual shape of this antique shop counter which we sourced from the French / Belgium border.
All very authentic with fantastic natural distressing to the original paint. We have given it a stiff brush to remove any of the loose paint and some restoration with a strengthened base and new / old drawer. Some signs of old wood worm which we have re treated to be on the safe side.
A few bumps and scrapes all now very sturdy.
Note that this is quite low for a counter. We could add castors to increase the height if desired although it is still very practical to use as it is.
