19th Century Spanish Desks
These antique bobbin turned tables are mid 19th century. They were typical of smart houses of the period and used as bases for Barqueno chests which held writing equipment, important documents and jewellery etc. ( See pics ).
The tops had seen better days so we have replaced them and covered the tops with some Colefax and Fowler fabric and glass (which is not shown in the pics - on order!). We have also added some brass details to the corners.
Really pleased with the resulting glorious bobbins mixed in with some colour. Great little side tables.
Turned walnut legs with wrought iron stretchers. All good and sturdy.
