This vintage desk really shows the difference in design and materials used in the 1880's to the rather feeble, cheap as possible, modern equivalent.
The cast iron base has rusted at the bottom so all of it has been sprayed with a clear lacquer to fix this patina.
The original oak desk and flip seat has been sanded and waxed.
A very solid piece.
