Romanian Box Bench

Circa 1920's this lovely looking antique painted box bench or settle is made from pine.
We are really pleased to have found one of these in its original paint showing masses of authentic patina and character. Note the rings on the right hand side of the seat - pointed out in the pictures.
It is unusual to have the drawers in the front which makes it much more useful and practical. Everything has been restored so it is all working as it should with some signs of old woodworm which has been re-treated to be on the safe side. All good and sturdy.
