These interesting threshing boards were made to be pulled by cattle on top of freshly cut wheat, in order to break up the grain from the straw.
Turkish, 19th century, these have been out in the sun for over 100 years which has bleached the wood beautifully.
Lovely colour and patina to the wood and imbedded flint stones. Some old re-treated woodworm.
We love these wall mounted or even lent up casually in a corner as an interesting talking point.
