Antique Threshing Boards
These interesting antique threshing boards were made to be pulled by cattle on top of freshly cut wheat, in order to break up the grain from the straw.
These ones were sourced in Turkey, and are 19th Century.
Lovely wear and colour to the flint and wood, showing years of use. Some old re-treated woodworm. A has a old repair to the top left corner where it has split and been nailed back together.
We love these mounted at the end of a corridor - very much a talking piece.
