We have a contact in India who has been collecting these wonderful antique wooden mortars over the last few years.
Some of these date back to early 1900's. These would have been used for grinding herbs, grains and medicines.
Beautiful pieces of wood and very decorative on their own. These could also be planted with herbs or filled with pens or perfect for ones keys by the door.
