Marble Topped Counter / Bar

Circa 1930's this counter was used as a bar in a vineyard caves in Nimes, France.
Made from painted pine with a natural marble top. The marble is very heavy and has a small chip to one corner.
The base is in good study condition and everything works as it should, we added magnets to keep the doors closed.
It has had some woodworm, mostly at the base which has been thoroughly re-treated to be on the safe side. Lots of bumps and scrapes to the original paint - a fantastic patina.
Lovely carving details and great as a bar or kitchen island.
