A lovely piece of British Industrial History. This circa 1900 cart would have been one of many which would have formed a train running through the foundry carrying various components in the sand casting process.
It was completely black when we brought it and we have given it a sympathetic restoration. The castors have been blackened and the oak boards look fantastic having being sanded and oiled. The black dust has remained in the grain and looks amazing.
Fairly heavy and takes a good push to get it moving.
