Large Beech Bakers Table

Sourced in the South of France this impressive bakers table is circa 1940's.
Made from beech we have spent some time restoring this. The top has been sanded and varnished, sealing in much of the patina and character with some cut marks etc as per its' age and use. The shelves have been added using some Dutch cheese boards we have been saving. The colour on the boards is actually wax from the cheese rinds.
The metal covers over the feet are there to protect the legs when the floor is mopped after a days baking.
Generally a well made solid piece of furniture retaining much of its character.
