These early 20th century tins were used for storing barks used as medicines.

Frangula Alnus, commonly Alder Buckthorn, was believed by the 2nd Century A.D Greeks to protect against witchcraft, poisons and headaches....

We have converted these interesting containers into a pair of table lamps. Some wear, a few marks and patina to the original paint.

34 cm h to the shade ring x 16 across the base.
