Near pair of Spanish Olive Pots

Circa 1900 these smaller antique glazed terracotta pots are from Miravet in Catalonia. In Spanish these are 'tinajas' which translates as bowl.

Used for hundreds of years for storing anything from wine to nuts.  These are glazed inside and would have been used for storing olive oil.

Wonderful patina that only years of use and weather can create.

As highlighted in one of the pictures there is an old crack in one of these.  It doesn't appear to be a problem but can be priced at £ 90.00 the other being £ 140.00.

Not a perfect pair but a near pair.

44 cm h x 34 across.
