Painted Spanish Shop Counter

Circa 1900 this antique painted shop counter was sourced from an olive farm in Catalonia. They had a little shop selling their produce and this was the counter.
Really we were drawn to the fantastic red colour and the raw top. So authentic - you just couldn't reproduce it. Plenty of knocks and scrapes and some old re-treated wood worm but in good usable condition. Some restoration throughout and we have repainted the back/front a waxed charcoal.
A great piece to divide a large space or as a sideboard.
