Upcycled Helicopter Seats

We could not resist, when we are were given the opportunity to buy these 1970's Lynx Helicopter seats.
Not quite sure what we were going to do with them. Eventually deciding to remove the complicated adjusting bases and mounting them to these heavy oak blocks.
The aluminium seats have been given a satin mop finish and upholstered with this blue fabric and blue 'lockable' castors added to the base.
Real boys toys / mantiques. We can see these in a companies funky waiting room, perfect as gaming chairs or just cruising around the sitting room in. The sitting position is very comfortable for a laptop on ones lap.
