Wedgwood Factory Drying Units
These are the last of a long run of units used in the Wedgwood factory for air drying ceramics once they have been taken out of their mould and before going into a furnace.
Unusually these have metal feet. Perhaps they stood in wet slip / ceramic and these feet prevented the bases becoming rotten.
Great natural colour and patina to the wood, structurally very sturdy. One is stamped Wedgwood on the back. Circa 1930.
Great as waiter stations in a restaurant or general storage in the house.
120 cm h x 122 w x 60 d. Shelves 49 and 46 cm h.
2 available, priced and sold individually.
