Zinc Topped Bank of Drawers

Sourced in Belgium we believe this counter to be circa 1940's.
The original paint has been given a good scrub with wire wool to clean it. The colour is a pale yellow / cream. Lovely patina to the original chisel edged handles.
The zinc top has been sanded and coloured - anyone buying a zinc surface should expect it to mark / scratch / stain over the years and create its own patina depending on its use.
Some restoration and in very good structural condition - drawers are all smooth.
The piece as you can see is double sided and would have been used as a counter in a shop situation with drawers behind - but it would look equally as happy against the wall as a sideboard.
