Zinc Topped Industrial Workbench

Circa 1940's this vintage industrial workbench was sourced in Northern France.
The base has been cleaned up with a light sand and sealed with a varnish and we have replaced the surface with a new chunky zinc top. The zinc is natural and not lacquered as this chips and it will continue to mark, scratch etc as it is used - developing its own wonderful patina.
The inside has also been cleaned and waxed and the drawers repainted. Some signs of old woodworm which has been re-treated to be on the safe side. New aged castors. Generally fully restored.
Perfect as a unique kitchen unit - whether as an island or against the wall. Fantastic colours, different on either side.
