1930's Teaching Clock

Sold

This unusual clock came out of a school in Normandy.  It was used as a teaching clock without a mechanism and with wooden hands.  Probably made on site by a local carpenter - this is a one off clock, the face and numbers are hand painted.

Made from Ply, it was quite rickety when we brought it.  We have added supports and glued it from the inside so it is now good and sturdy but retains all of its character.  A few bumps and scrapes.

New high torque battery mechanism.

74 cm h x 74 w x 15 d.
